Made a great gift pretty sure it's still sitting in the box in my friends room but hey! The stand got shipped in its retail packaging no extra box so there was a label and picture for everyone to see what it is so be careful if your living with the person you get this for if it's a gift or if you got some crappy neighbors.

Solid wood though deffinanly durable! Worth the money with the storage

Overall, not bad.

The "locking" door is kind of a joke. There's no back to the lower box. So, a person could easily reach to the back and get whatever is inside.

I also had a set with an errant drill hole in it. I'm not super picky, since I beat the heck out of my guns by heavy, unforgiving usage. Still, if you're looking for a high quality rack - I'd look elsewhere.

The reviews had me nervous with this order, but I'm glad I went ahead with the order. Is it oak with heavy hardware? No, bit it's also not $100 either. Frankly, I was impressed with the quality of wood; it's solid and stained well. I did decide to drill the holes for the hinge screws out to a larger bore, mostly out of fear of splitting the door by forcing the screws into the tiny holes with which it came predrilled. There are three reasons I gave it four stars (instead of five):

1) The order of assembly would have been easier if the hinges were installed earlier in the process. I'd attach the hinges before assembling the drawer to keep from having to work at odd angles.

2) The screws included for hanging the overall unit to the wall were inadequate for the task. I chose to drill the holes bigger, install drywall anchors and use screws that have a flat head (opposed to the wood screws included). Even if you were able to hit studs, the thickness of the drywall and wood of the rack would leave too little screw for a secure hang.

3) the wood plugs (used to decoratively fill the larger machine screw holes) are worthless without wood glue. This fact isn't mentioned in the instructions, which explains the failure to include a small tube.

As is evidence by my four-star rating, these issues aren't enough to detract from the overall quality when placed into context of price. I'm satisfied and would recommend it to others.

This is a nice rack for the money. As one other post stated the wood is a bit soft, I had to restain a couple of nicks from assembly. BIG TIP!!!
Attach the hinges to the drawer bottom before you do anything else. I waited until the last steps as instructed and it was a real pain!!

#1 We did not receive free shipping as promised. #2 The inept translation made assembly a challenge. The product materials are top notch, however. Put it this way- If you took "shop" in high school this project will be a happy one; if not, prepare for an afternoon of frustration. Oh, you will need to buy different screws for mounting on the wall.
