Works beautifully, I can see just as well if i was using an Allen welch otoscope . Highly recommend

A gave this as a gift to my best friend's daughter. Her 2 young sons seem to have ongoing ear infections. She's thrilled to be able to look at their ears before calling for a doctors appointment.

I used this device one time. The second time I went to use it, approximately one month later, I removed the device from the protective case and the plastic ring that holds the rear lens in dropped out in three pieces. No signs of stress, impact, just a nice clean split where the screw boss is and another spot by the lower tab. Stored in it's padded case in a quiet spot in my bathroom cabinet in a protected drawer space. I can't possibly give this more than one star if the device can't last through a second use. I was even willing to purchase the part and reattach it and try again, however I can't find any way to get the parts replaced. The 30 day warranty seems a bit useless if at 37 days, the device falls apart. Looks like I need to spend a little more money on an otoscope that will stay in one piece.

Not sure how this works as it arrived damaged. I never write reviews but I am so disappointed. As an NP student I really wanted something that I could use for practice as my current place of employment does not have this. I was so excited as most of the reviews are very good. It arrived quickly, as promised. When I opened up the case and took it out the lens fell right into my hand. It is secured to the otoscope head with one screw and surrounded by apparently thin and fragile plastic. The plastic lens holder was snapped in 2 places so the lens will not attach to the scope. Per the instructions from the manufacturer I contacted them,, via the email address they supplied and let them know about the problem. They really don't want negative reviews per the sheet enclosed with the product so they claim they will promptly address any issues. They do not provide a phone number, just the email. Things can get damaged in transport, I get that. Even if replaced it is still pretty delicate plastic and I wonder if it would happen with ordinary use. Anyway I have yet to hear back from them even though I explained that I needed this ASAP for class/clinical. If they do in fact respond and correct this issue I will revise this review but right now I am just disappointed as the scope is useless without the lens.

I have a Welsh-Allen diagnostic kit for work and I bought the RA Bock otoscope for my home...I can see more with the Bock because it uses an LED for illumination rather than the halogen that the WA uses. I was gratified that I could use the standard bayonet cones. You can't use a bulb insufflator with this and I think that's just as well. I have never found determining the mobility of the TM to be clinically useful .
A few weeks ago I bought the Bock cardiology stethoscope. I am very happy with these products. It surprises me to learn that Bock has only 7 employees...
