Good little hot plate.
Dragon Mom•March 2, 2016
Good item at a good price. Sturdy and adequate for light duty use. Be aware, however, that it is not very good for low temperature warming. The lowest setting (LOW) hovers around 160- 170 degrees F which takes at least ten full minutes or more to achieve. For some reason, LOW is a set groove. Turning the dial slightly into the variable numbered control range makes the temp jump to almost 200F, so not a lot of fine control in the lower range. Still, I am happy with the item. It seems to keep the temp fairly steady and it will suffice for my purposes.
Good product!

Have bought 3 in total and all work as it should. Works with 240v without step down convertor for those outside the US.

Works like a charm

Works like a charm. Infrared temperature surface plate measurement was ~355°C max. Got my relatively large sample plenty hot in a reasonable amount of time (few minutes). Just note you'll need an external method to measure (sample/plate) temperature with this device.
Excellent little hot plate!

This hot plate is durable and heats up fast. I generally never need it higher than the 2 or 3 setting which is great because it will do anything I might need it for. Holds temp reasonably well but at higher temps you can hear the thermostat clicking on often. I use this to heat up viscous liquids and degas them. Wish the top plate was flatter as it tends to taper down towards the edges, but it is a high quality ceramic. This is definitely worth it for anyone looking for a durable general purpose hot plate.
