The Lamp seems to be cast of high grade aluminum. I did have to take it apart to add a ground wire (there is a spot in the fixture for one).
I did not use the metal box because I was replacing lights that were mounted on plastic boxes.
So far the lamps has stayed waterproof, looks great and should last a long time.

Has a standard light bulb base with a clear screw in lens and a screw in cage cover, well made. Very moisture resistant,almost air tight.
