I bought this item for my mom about a month ago, and it is already unwearable. About a week ago, she was walking down the aisle at the grocery store, and the y-shaped strap broke off. She ended up falling and scraping her knee and bruising her arm during the fall. I wonder if I received a defect or if the quality of the shoes are this poor... These were her favorite sandals, so it was very disappointing and painful from the physical injury she encountered during the breaking of the strap.

I have been purchasing these Rocket Dog flip flops for the last 8 years and have loved them. The foam does flatten out over time, but no other complaints. I bought this pair in April and waited until last night to wear them for the first time this summer. I got exactly 2 hours use out of the shoes before the strap ripped out of the foam while I was just standing in them. I am so utterly disappointed and upset. I had a lot of confidence in this product and made it part of my summer wardrobe for going on 8 years and getting 2 hours wear out of a pair shoes. I don't know if these were cheap knock offs with similar branding or if the quality has been down graded. I am not sure if I can put trust into this product again.

I just bought this end of April 2018, and the strap broke on the side the 1st weekend in June. I will not be purchasing this shoe on Amazon again. My last pair I ordered lasted forever - the bottom just had wear and tear. I am very disappointed with the product and quality of the one I just received.

I buy these every year they only last a year but I wear them everyday in the summer! I can walk in them all day! I will be disappointed if they ever change. Only buy Rocket Dog flip flops.

The Gold Standard of platform flip-flops! I have tried many brands, and Rocket Dog is by far superior. I have purchased many of these RD platform flip flops throughout the years - this is probably my 5th pair. The fit is perfect. The straps are tight when you first get them, but they stretch slightly to give a perfect fit - not too loose or too tight. I've had several off-brand shoes where the straps were too loose, and they quickly become unwearable and hazardous + the look is sloppy. The Rocket Dogs feel nice and secure, which is essential when wearing a platform!
I have never had a problem with the straps breaking, as I've seen others report. The only issue I've had in the past is that it is difficult to find size 6 in stock.
