These may be a "bargain" (I found them in my local store for less), but there are better brands. I generally like NOW products, but these aren't their shining stars. They don't have a wonderful scent, and even after toasting them, they lack that nutty flavor. I don't want to "j'accuse" that they've turned, but I'd recommend buying Spectrum, Bob's or even Trader Joe's over these.
Grate flax seeds

Good quality and not expensive. I soak 2 Tbs of flax seeds overnight + 1Tbs black sesame seeds and 1 Tbs of black cumin seeds in cup of water. Next day i add another 1,5 cups of water and make smoothie every day and feel great, the blood pressure is stabilized, no more headache . I feel brand new !

I like Organic Flax Seeds. Most of it is Fiber and we all need that to keep "everything moving". Don't laugh; watch the Saturday Night Live skit with Dana Carvey, Kevin Nealon and Nora Dunn as Peggy Lee singing "Fiber" instead of "Fever"! This will tell you all you need to know about Fiber.

Great, of course, as a sub for eggs to use as a binder. I just ground up some in my VitaMix this morning for that very purpose. This is 2 bags of flax seed for a very good price. Also, I like everything I've ever tried from NOW Foods. Have used their protein powders, organic coconut oil--which is the best I ever tasted or smelled--& many other NOW Foods products & have never been disappointed in anything.

This is a TON of flax and to receive the nutritional benefits, you must have something to ground it up with. We used a cheap $10 coffee grinder from Walmart and the flax is awesome.
We are on a LCHF (Low Carb High Fat) diet similar to Atkins and this was perfect for raising the fiber count to negate the carbs. You can throw the powder in everything, we would make dips and throw some in there for additional nutritional benefits
