Expensive looking cabinet and well worth the money and time spent in assembling it...

I love this cabinet...it holds all my dog food containers, natural supplements and canned goods. I buy mostly in bulk items and this cabinet holds a lot more than you'd think. It took awhile for me to see how this thing is assembled but I finally got it together. I did it myself (elder female) and it took most of the day hours on and off to get it completed . It's best to assemble cabinet parts on large table top to save extra pressure felt on your back.
Beautiful piece of furniture.

For thin veneer, build-it-yourself furniture, this is quite a beautiful piece. It matches well with actual antiques I have in my living room, and some people take it for an antique also. It's great for storing cd's and dvd's. My only complaint is the top and bottom (fixed) shelves barely fit a standard cd and anything slightly over-sized won't go in. Giving these shelves even an extra 1/2"-3/4" of space would help. The hardware is solid and looks good. This should be attached to the wall, since the doors are heavy and could pull the case over. Assembly is easy if you've built some of these types of furniture before, though it may look daunting to a first timer. I advise help when hanging the doors since they are difficult to hold steady and put in a screw by yourself. I highly recommend this cabinet.
Very strong medal cabinet that looks like solid hardwood

This is a very solid media cabinet. I have it 2/3rd's filled with all of my CDs and a few DVDs.. The cabinet is tilted very slightly back to reduce the tendency of it to fall forward. You can barely notice the tilt. I have it sitting on a hardwood floor and it is very stable. The cabinet uses standard cam and lock hardware and everything threads into the wood. There are no plastic inserts as commented on by another reviewer. It is veneer and from a distance it looks like solid hardwood. A little bit of the finish had rubbed off in the top corner of the cabinet during shipping but nothing I couldn't fix with a permanent marker. The top shelf and the shelf just above the bottom shelf are fixed, not adjustable, to make the cabinet stronger. Standard CD cases fit perfectly into these shelves, DVD cases will not. The back panel drops into grooves on the cabinet and it is screwed in place. This cabinet is very strong indeed. The hinges on the cabinet are not adjustable and I could not line up the bottom of the cabinet doors because of that. The doors are held in place on the top by an adjustable magnet. The magnet is so strong that it tends to pull out of alignment when you open the doors. If it weren't for these 2 issues, no adjustable hinges and a magnet that pulls out of alignment, then I would give this cabinet a 5 star rating.
So Happy with my Oak Cabinet

I had to stare at the box 6 mos before I got a hand putting it together..BOY was it worth the wait! Sure was, it is just lovely..Lower 3 shelves I put the last of the DVD`s now I will be able to put some of my glass figures on higher shelves as I had them packed away since the move here 2 yrs. I had the cabinet anchored to the wall as when u opened the doors when it was empty it came forward. I suppose I could say because of rug & a slight baseboard, so to be safe I wanted it tied into wall for safety. I did notice be sure to pay attention to shelves going in to easy to put them in rough side out before u screw them in check it out. Shiney side out. Boy every time I pass it I love it more . Sorry I wish I had a picture to show all of u.
Lovely Cabinet

I was surprise at what a lovely cabinet this is. The veneer is a beautiful hardwood - not press board with a plastic coating made to look like wood. The wrong instructions were sent so I had a bit of a shock when I thought I had lots of missing pieces, but the correct instructions can be found online using the model number. Building it was a breeze - because my husband took over after the parts scare. But seriously he didn't have much trouble assembling it with the online instructions. We are using it in the bathroom as a large free standing medicine cabinet and it is perfect. I know the veneer probably won't last forever in that environment but let's face it, a solid wood one that looks this nice would be hundreds of dollars if you could even find one. I am very pleased.
