Good replacement for previous checkbook calculator.

This was the more affordable checkbook calculator with good features. The cover is not as good as my previous one (which is no longer available) and the numbers, buttons etc. are a little smaller. But it is a good value for the price.

The keypad has a very nice tactile feel and with the raised numbers I am not mis-keying numbers like I did with my last one. I also like the back arrow that it has rather than a CE button - makes it easier to correct keying errors. Would have given it 5 stars but the display is a little too dim.

I recommend this to anyone who wants to keep abreast of their finances... The other day I was at the store and the clerk announced, "sir, your card was denied." Like the large, easy to see numbers and symbols on the keys. Locking feature is plus to secure account balances from prying eyes. Like that this model has a backspace key to delete incorrect entries. I've had other checkbook calculators in the past and was looking for one with the same features as those. The only thing I don't like is that my old calculator wallet allowed for slipping the check register under the calculator itself and the checkbook at the bottom. This was because of the fact that there were separate pockets at the top and bottom of the wallet and the calculator actually clipped into the top pocket via some small plastic clips. This version attaches to the top of the wallet, which doesn't have the extra pocket, with velcro and can easily be removed from the wallet if needed I suppose. Other than that I'm liking it so far.
