Same good quality as the first one I bought in the 70s and still use ... a lot. Just keep it oiled and use the whole stone. This recent one was purchased as a gift and is expected to work just as well and just as long.
Handy!

Good beginner whetstone

This is a good entry-level oilstone. I have been using this to practice my sharpening technique before moving onto finer grit stones.

I don't have time to hone knives and the India stone gets me that fast edge. I seldom need a sharper edge than what the India stone provides. If I do need the sharper edge, I first sharpen with the India stone and then finish with an Arkansas stone
