Yes, I will admit when open the box and stand in on your kitchen floor it does look like an attacking alien off an an H. G. Wells movie set. Plant it in your garden and put a globe on it and it suddenly is less menacing and much more peaceful. Love this stand and I do not need to worry about it falling over and breaking another orb this season..

I bought my first stand right before this past winter. The stand and my gazing ball withstood all the wind, snow and cold perfectly. The stand looks like new. I purchased two more this spring. The stand enhances the gazing ball without calling attention to itself. Once you have the legs securely pushed into the ground, it is extremely stable. I would highly recommend this stand!
