I am an amateur shooter. Having this target has improved my accuracy immeasurably, by allowing me to practice daily in the comfort of my own home.

Having to find a proper area to target practice was becoming cumbersome as I live in a suburban area and my schedule does not afford the opportunity to often venture too far from home during the weekdays. With this I am now able to practice near daily. Honestly often times when I am watching TV during a commercial break I can get a few quick practice shots in.

I purchased both this and the HME Products Acrhery Bag Stand. It was remarkably easy to set up. The bag is sturdy and very portable. The coloring and variation on the surface gives the shooter a variety of points to try and hit.
I have a compound bow tuned to about 55 lbs for now, and even at rather close range, the penetration is minimal and has never required more than a light (emphasis on LIGHT) two finger pull to remove the field point fitted shafts.

In a few short weeks I have probably put well over 100 arrows into the target, and there is no reason I could not put about 1000+ more. And that is just on side of the target. I can just flip it over and use the other side should the other side become problematic.

So far there are no variations or soft spots in the target; the penetration achieved seems the same ALL around.

Honestly I wish I would have purchased this immediately. And at only $30-40 to replace this is one of the best investments a novice shooter can make. This may be one of the few truly 5 star worthy products I have encountered.

My husband and I recently took up recurve bow archery as a new hobby and our first target was a block of polystyrene foam that worked ok for the first few weeks, so we were looking for a sturdier target. After researching several options, including a homemade target, I decided to try the Yellow Jacket Supreme 3. We also bought the HME stand to hang this target on and it has been a great target to shoot at in our backyard range. We have the stand and bag set up at 21 yards and the Yellow Jacket target is so much better than the Tuff Block target we were using. The arrows easily penetrate the plastic sheathing and are also easily remove. We do have to wiggle some of the arrows out of the bag when removing them because the point and insert are not completely flush with the arrow shaft. This bag should be able to handle thousands of hits before needing to replaced.

I'm surprised this large item is roughly the same price as my local archery range, even with Prime shipping. It's large enough I hardly ever miss, and dense enough the arrows never penetrate more than a couple of inches. (I saw a photo showing that the stuffing is strips of 'Herculite', or whatever the cover is made from.) I've probably shot 500 arrows at this thing, and haven't even turned it around yet. You can also purchase a new cover (for about half the price of the entire target) when the original one wears out. This is vastly better than shooting at a bale of straw with a cardboard back-stop like I was using. I attach inexpensive plastic targets to the face with sewing pins and get a cheap, vibrant aiming point.

Killer target, I use it as part of a backstop as well. I have a crossbow at a 180LBs. Yellow jacket stops 400 grain arrows with no problems. Easy to pull out and doesn't leave a huge hole. Has a nice handle, so just grab and go when you're finished. Overall very happy I got this and is my new go to target/backstop. Price is very reasonable!

At first this target was great. Arrows would pull very easily. Now after just a month of light to moderate use, the arrows are very hard to pull and the target is leaving a fibrous glue type residue on my arrows which is very hard to clean off. Using harsh chemicals on my arrows to remove this residue didn't even help. It will barely even come off when scraped with a knife blade. I know morrell is a quality and well known brand, so it just might be the one target that's doing this.
