So glad mom told me about Whink!
Curtis Horton•August 5, 2017
I've been a Whink fan since my mom introduced me to the product 3+ decades ago. I've found a new use for it, however.
I have a couple older vehicles that I park under a shed on the side of my property that has a steel roof with a bit of rust on it. When it rains, some of the rain water drips from the roof onto the vehicles and over time, the windows and windshields have become stained with rust and/or other oxides/minerals. I tried the Whink on the glass and I have to say that it works miracles! If you decide to try this yourself, just make sure to protect the surrounding surfaces (wet them and/or mask them) and make sure to neutralize the Whink with water when you are done. I applied the Whink to a rag (wearing gloves, of course!), and rubbed the affected areas until the stains were gone. The active ingredient is hydrofluoric acid, which will actually dissolve glass. Granted, this is a dilute version of the acid, but I don't want to risk etching or fogging my windows as they would be expensive to replace and frankly, it would completely defeat the purpose of using the Whink in the first place! I rinsed each area that I cleaned after no more than a couple minutes, and the before/after difference is absolutely incredible. I will make sure I have this product on hand for as long as it is available. I'm thinking about trying it on some wine glasses that have hard water stains on them...

Can't believe it, but it works on the toilet ...
Srfotog•July 19, 2017
Can't believe it, but it works on the toilet stains from iron and sulfur in my well. NOTHING else worked including Comet with a scrubber. You just put this in under the waterline when you flush then leave it a couple of minutes and then brush it and all the stains are gone.
This is the best rust remover I have used
Catherine Ackerson•May 2, 2017
This is the best rust remover I have used. You can't find it everywhere....I was at my daughters in Carolina for the winter and couldn't find it anywhere so ordered it from Amazon. Gone now is the huge rust stain on the floor behind the toilet that was left by previous owners. You do have to be careful using it on ceramic tile because it will take the shine off. I also used it on rusty tools and now they look like new.
No more Gas Station Toilet!! Works Great!!
