I love it! It's shiny but not super slick. I got the espresso it has a hint of cherry to me so if you want more of a chocolate brown go with the walnut. Most kids tables are 25 inches this one is 32 inches so it doesn't take up more space but makes a big difference when you have 2 kids trying to color on wide pieces of paper.
It's nice and heavy definitely real wood and great quality. Super easy to put together took me like 25 mins no instructions needed but it's there.

Very sturdy table, great table top size

Very sturdy table, great table top size. Came with some scratches in the top, but it is for kids to play with/eat on so I am ok with that. I didn't read the description well so this is my fault, but this table is for 4+ years (or taller little kids). Check the seat height and how long your kids' calves are before buying!

Just bought this table for my 5 1/2 yr old twins. It is great! It is larger than most kid tables it is 24" tall so the chairs work great now but they will be able to use this for a very long time. They are using it to play, trouble, candyland and eating snacks. Does not look like a kid table but it is not a "grown up" table either. Love it!!! My husband is going to get plexiglass so we can protect the top to have for a long time. The pic you can see my sons feet and waist where it fit him
Great Table and Chairs Set

We are very happy with this table and chairs set. We were looking for a set for our 2 and 3 year old boys' room for puzzles, drawing, eating, etc. I did not want to purchase a super expensive set because they are so young. The color is exactly what I expected out of "expresso". It is a dark black/brown color that matches our other furniture perfect. I was worried it would be too red-tinted but we don't see any red tones in it. As for the stability, we are beyond happy. Our kids have been climbing all over it and they are very stable, not wobbly at all. The little drawers in the table are perfect and make the set look nicer. The height of the table and chairs is perfect for our toddlers because we can easily see it will grow with them. Both can crawl up onto the chairs without any help and without any worries of them falling. They can also stand at the table and complete tasks. The only reason I gave this 4/5 is because it came with a dent in one of the chairs. Otherwise we are very happy with this set!

This is a great little table, just the right length to keep my 6 and 4 yr olds separated. I didn't have any issues with the screws for the chairs, the batch I got were exactly the same as the ones for the table. So everything is solid. But as others have said, the table top material is somewhat soft. My daughter is infatuated with gel pens right now, so she uses them for everything, even coloring. So after a few months of use, there are indentations all over the place from her various art projects. I'm wishing we never got her those pens. Crayons wouldn't cause any lasting damage, but pencils and pens will. Then again, this IS a kids table, so...
