I love this door lever and deadbolt set!! Not only are they pretty to look at, but best of all it doesn't hurt my hand to use it!! You can literally open the door with one finger pushing down on it!! And the rekeying feature is excellent as well, now we can still use the keys we already have that work on both doors, and have given out to family too!! 💜
The levers do seem just a bit loose, but it's probably just the way it's made. We had a small bit of trouble installing the levers, they don't make it clear in the instructions how to flip them, so i went and found a YouTube video and it was very simple. THEN i noticed if you pay attention to the earlier instructions, it already told you how to get one off at the beginning, so i felt like an idiot then lol. :P On the single direction saying to flip them, they should reference you back to the step where you took one off already, just in case you don't remember that bit.
I plan on buying another set for the other door, and am trying to figure out how to install one on a custom built tin covered steel frame gate as well, tho with the gate planned to be 3 inches thick to match the fence im not sure how yet.

1. I bought 8 of these over time. Two of them had missing parts. Not sure if I got super unlucky, but probably so based on these reviews. I've also bought many via Home Depot with 100% working parts.
2. BE CAREFUL when rekeying. If you rotate the key too fast, you can totally mess up your lock. Rotate the key fully in each direction SLOWLY and fully in each direction
3. If you find that the keys are sticking (not rotating easily/smoothly) then repeat the rekeying process. I found that the keys can be ok right after rekeying, then they start to stick (not rotate smoothly). Just rekey using the same key and it fixes this problem
4. If you find missing parts (e.g., missing keys) or it doesn't work properly (e.g., lock cylinder pulls out) return it. I've always bought multiple lock sets at once, so if one didn't work properly, I could verify if the other lock worked the same way. You could try the same with a smartkey set from your hardware store, I suppose.
5. I do recommend smartkey to anyone who needs to rekey on a somewhat regular basis (e.g., landlord).

I have these on 2 exterior doors. I like levers better than knobs. They are easier for old folks like us with arthritis to use.
They are easy enough to install after you have done it twice. But the first time make sure you follow the directions exactl step by step. And be patient.
