Since our refrigerator quit chopping ice, and chopped ice is what kept me away from ice cream while watching TV every night, my sweet husband set out to buy me a substitute.

This ice shaver has been absolutely superb, better than the chopped ice ever was. It works with regular ice cubes, and turns out a glassful of snow-consistency ice in a very few minutes.

Instead of syrup, I've added orange juice we had left over, apple juice my husband quit drinking, and lemonade, which I bought on purpose. They've all been wonderful, and the Hawaiian Shaved Ice has become a treat I look forward to every night.

Our 11-year-old granddaughter was visiting when the little machine arrived, and she loved it so much that we bought one for her upcoming birthday, plus the syrup, since she isn't watching her weight. I know she'll love it! I would recommend it to anyone who wants to make snow cones at home!

Folks if you like snow cones and have an ice shaver (or a blender capable of crushing ice) there is no better shaved ice syrup! We have tried multiple brands and types for our home snow cones (we have a great ice shaver) but after trying these syrups through Amazon I can tell you that this brand sets the bar. The syrup was a little thicker but was much bolder flavor than the other brands. We have went through several bottles over the summer and plan on this syrup to be the ones we will buy in the future! It may be a little more expensive than others, but well worth it!

I was very impressed with these flavors! I wish I could find a sugar free version just as good, but until then, this is the best! After all, a snow cone is a treat, they should taste like one! Not only do I love them, all three of my daughters, my niece and my nephew (and even my sister) LOVED these flavors too. They were such a hit, my sister ordered them too. They make your snow cones taste just like the one's you get at carnivals (make sure you get the right snow cone maker, it's important part of the process). I love snow cones in the summer especially. It's a great way to get the extra water in the kids, all while giving them a treat as good as ice cream. They never get tired of them either! These syrups are very thick, you only need a little and then allow the ice to melt for a few minutes to mix into the snow cone, or dilute the syrup in a small glass prior to pouring it on the snow cone (1part syrup/5parts cold water) Enjoy!

I'm giving 4 stars because I'm not quite satisfied with the taste of Hawaiian syrup. I did a taste test with myself and 5 other people and it's about half and half census; some, including myself feel the syrup is too thick, too sweet, almost like cough syrup. However some like the taste, and consistency. I know Hawaiian shaved ice syrup has been around for years, I'm not knocking that, I'm just offering my honest opinion.

I must say, in light of the aforementioned, I am greatly pleased with the speediness in delivering the product.

Very full flavored. I will order these again. Others have stated there isn't a pour nozzle on these bottles. If you're cheap like me you don't need one. The bottle comes with a seal glued to the rim. Just use a fork and poke a couple of holes in the seal and now you have a poor (pun intended) nozzle. Whoever designed the art work on the box it comes in has a sense of humor. Gave me a good laugh. I'm not as fond of the cherry flavor as growing up in the age when cough medicine was advertised it has that great cherry taste. If you didn't experience that era the cherry flavor is probably just great. I just I could try the other flavors if they were offered individually.
