and the rabbit has eatin almost all the wood around the door lol all in all i am happy with the size and layout

Its been about 8 months now and the doors started to not line up, and the rabbit has eatin almost all the wood around the door lol all in all i am happy with the size and layout, but the cleaning of the it is more difficult. What i mean by that is its hard to scrub the frame of it, because its made of wood. Thats my only real complaint.
Great for our hedgehog!

Packaging not the greatest and some pieces were slightly damaged in shipment (easily repaired with glue), but the design is truly amazing! We bought this for our hedgehog and the plastic bottom on all floor spaces, very nice ramp design and the ability to close off the top and bottom sections is pretty ingenious. However, be prepared for pretty basic instructions printed in small diagrams. We got it together fine, but took more work than a typical Ikea build. I wouldn't recommend this for outdoor use unless it's covered from the bulk of the weather. The roof is certainly outdoor rated, but the pine is very soft and very lightly stained and will warp a bit over time making the cage doors open without much effort (unless replacement locks are used). Also, the drawers that pull out (where the shavings or pellets go) may warp over time if the humidity is high enough. We're using ours indoors so I'm confident it will last a long time. It looks really nice in the living room and is study enough to last many years. I certainly wouldn't use it for larger animals (weight on floor will likely warp them) and would be to monitor chewing pets because chewing animals will likely make mess of the soft wood in no time unless they have enough chew toys to keep them away from the cage.
This is great, would definitely buy it again

This is great, would definitely buy it again. Only complaint is that the latches are terrible and we had to replace them with something more sturdy after our rabbit got out several times. It came with one long slide bolt latch to latch both doors on each level (so only two latches total), so you push the latch bolt to the left to open the right door and to the right to open the left door and you have to center it to lock both doors, but problem was the latch bolt was a) cheap and b) not long enough so you had to be really really precise when locking it or it would note catch on one side, thus giving our bunny a perfect escape route. Plus, I think even when we tried really hard to be precise, it was such a close thing because the bolt was so short that she just had to push on the doors a bit and it would wiggle free. We simply removed and replaced with a separate latch for each door that are of a higher quality, which was like a $5 fix, so it's a minor complaint. Otherwise everything was exactly as expected and we couldn't be happier.
We are very happy with this hutch

We are very happy with this hutch! I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this hutch that said the box and product arrived damaged or that it was flimsy and parts broke while putting it together. We had a completely different experience. The hutch arrived in perfect condition, was easy to put together and nothing was damaged in the process. We use our hutch inside and our two bunnies have tons of room. My personal preference would be to have the hutch come painted/stained white, but the natural pine is still a really nice look for indoors and the pine smell is very pleasant. The features that I like the most about this hutch is that it sits up off of the floor, has removable trays for easy cleanup, has ample room for bunnies to move around, and easy access to our bunnies. If you are looking to purchase an indoor hutch, I highly recommend this one.
Not pleased! Too many design flaws!

OK. There are pros and cons to this cage. I will start with the cons...
First of all the assembly of this thing was not easy, especially for one person! The instructions weren't the best and it was hard to know where things were supposed to go...you definitely need two people to assemble this thing unless you have 4 arms. And quite a bit of experience assembling "build your own" type furniture. Plus the box was completely destroyed upon delivery, which was pretty much expected based on the other reviewers. I was thankful that nothing was damaged until I got to the very last piece that goes on the back floor of the "upstairs" area. This might not have been the last piece per the instructions, but it was the last piece that I put in once I figured out where it went and how it was supposed to actually go. Its the piece that covers that back portion of the upper area that has the opening for the stairs. The upper area tray is only the floor for about 2/3 of the cage, and then there is this piece to cover the back 1/3. But it was broken!! Argh! I was so frustrated after assembling this whole thing to find the piece was broken and not usable! And you can not use the cage without this piece! So I contacted amazon and they issued me a partial refund since i wanted to keep the item (I really needed a cage for my rabbits right away to keep the male separate from the females!) and I just tried to fix the piece and make it work. But, even after modifying it its still weak and sagging and just not very well made. Another con, urine from the cages run down the legs and onto the floor! Gross!! I did buy litter pans for the cage so the bunnies could do their business in the pan, but only 2 of them seem to get it, one of them is still peeing down the legs because I see it on my floors! I had to get a refund for the item and I will be searching for something that has a better design. I would try to see this item in a store somewhere before buying and make sure you are OK with the obvious design flaws. Another issue is that the locks for the front of the doors are very short! There is one slide and lock mechanism that locks both doors closed. You have to make sure to carefully close both doors and lock them by placing the slider lock right exactly in the middle or else the door will be easily pushed open. We came home one day and the 2 bunnies on the lower level were outside running free! They could have easily run away or gotten hurt! Fortunately they are friendly and we were able to easily catch them and have been super careful since then to lock it properly! Just take note of that! Maybe not as much of an issue if you keep this inside, but ours is on our covered and screened in back porch.
For the pros, its a good size for my 3 bunnies, it keeps them contained. Its easy to access the inside, the trays come out easily for cleaning (bunnies need to be removed from the cage before removing the trays) and I was able to get my money back for the bad experience.
