Maybe I got a bad tube but not happy with it at all

When I squeezed it out of the tube it was separated, an oily substance and paint. Tried to knead the tube and still the same, I mixed it out of the tube and over filled the chips and the next day it was shrunken into the chip marks and left a yellow residue around the chips. The consistency was runny. Maybe I got a bad tube but not happy with it at all.

This in the fourth gel coat scratch patch I've tried. I have a 1986 fiberglass Chris Craft that has scratches and small hairline cracks in the gel coat. This produce worked great to cover, perfect color, waxed right over, no problems.

Works great!...but runny. Applied this to a chip in the gel coat by the nav light on the front of my boat. Wet sanded smooth....turned out looking really good! The key is to apply it and walk away. Don't use that plastic smoothing device they give you...let it sit and wet sand smooth and reapply as necessary and wet sand again till your repair is flush and smooth.
