Yes this is a novelty, but why wouldn't any raised TEXAN not wan this? Everyone remembers staying at a hotel and then having Texas shaped waffles. This puppy pops out waffles 75-80% of the size of the hotel waffle makers. I only wished that it had an internally built timer for the price. Sweet spot on mine seems to be around 2 1/2 minutes. If you add fruit to your waffle it might take a bit longer.

I hear that Texas is the only state with its own waffle maker :-). It makes adorable waffles that the grown-ups enjoy with the kids think it is super cool. It is a typical waffle maker and cleans up well, but has that added pizzazz of being shaped like our super state of Texas.

This is our 2nd Texas waffle maker (first one lasted about 3 years of use every Saturday...finally wore out). We purchased this one, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the surface is now more non-stick. Super easy to clean and use. Makes great waffles!
