very good handcuffs I really recommend them

these cuffs are probably the best cuffs you can get. i handcuffed my self to test them out and it took me 30 min to put the key in the hole and unlock them. the only reason why i got out of them is because my cuff key is flexible and i was able to bend the key in the hole and even that took me 30 min. very difficult to escape from i would almost say its impossible to escape from them i highly recommend these cuffs to everyone you won't go wrong.
Good product

These cuffs are the way to go very solid and perfect for the combative suspect .
Definitely used despite "new item" tag, but still good cuffs.

I bought the nickel cuffs to use in the reserve officer program in my county. Despite my better judgment in reading other reviews (despite multiple buyers concerned with the same issues and most having the issues recently) , I figured I would try my luck. These cuffs have been clearly used. Do they look like they are in detrimental shape? No. However, I paid for a new pair of cuffs. The box was secured shut with a broken piece of scoth tape. I haven't found any mechanical issues, but I will update if something changes. If you are looking for a brand new pair of cuffs, don't look here.
Update* I have used these cuffs now for a year and a half, and I now recant my bad review. In spite of these cuffs looking less than new, these are in fact very good cuffs. They have not had any mechanical issues. These are an extremely smooth operating pair of cuffs, and I will continue to use them until they stop working.
It’s S&W

I have carried chain cuffs many years. After talking to a deputy I work with that only carries hinged cuffs and watching some training videos I wanted to give them a try. The very first time I used them happened to be with a struggling suspect. Once that first cuff was on, I had control. With the hinge, I could apply leverage to the arm to move the person. There are some other cool offensive and defensive tactics this style makes possible.

I have tried brands I didn't care for. Smith and Wesson cuffs have never failed me.
Overall nice pair of cuffs...

Pros: Nice and secure, comes with two standard keys, Made in the USA baby!!! and these are actual handcuffs that some LEOs use. so I guess if it's good enough for them it's good enough for basic home defense, security, and other private matters ;)

Cons: Unless you use them to cuff your ankles or cuff your hands in front whilst being VERY conservative with how many clicks you give the cuffs (and ALWAYS keep the keyholes facing DOWN of course), these aren't good self-bondage cuffs unless you have a trusting partner that can let you out when you want/need to.. what's the point if you can't even get yourself out, let alone double-lock yourself in? The double locking mechanism can use a little work, I tried working it several times and the double lock pin on the key already has a small nick in it. Just as a fair warning: The keys aren't even put in the same wrapper as the cuffs, so be careful when unpacking. Also the packaging is tight, I had to rip it apart just to open it.

Overall: Nice set and you may wish to purchase that handcuff key that is recommended by Amazon, but for self-bondage, stick to the chain linked cuffs, PLEASE.
