Great RAS blade

I inherited a radial arm saw with a really dull blade on it. I ignorantly installed a 10 inch table saw blade on it and turned it into a scary unsafe saw to use. With positive tooth angle the blade will eat through the cut too quickly and ends up binding no matter how slow you draw the RAS through the stock. I can't stress enough the importance of negative tooth angle on a RAS. My RAS now cuts nice clean bevel cross cuts with this Oshlun blade. Don't be a dummy like me and slap on any old 10 inch blade and expect it to work properly.

Hooray! A negative hook blade at a reasonable price. I can't tell you how hard such a blade is to find! Most are $70 or more. Oshlun makes quality blades too. Negative hook blades are designed specifically for radial arm saws. The negative hook (back-leaning slant) of the teeth prevents the saw from running toward you during cross cuts. These work well on sliding miter saws too.

I'm using this blade in my radial arm saw and it makes a world of difference vs. my previous blade that did not have a negative hook. The saw doesn't want to pull itself through the cut as much as it did with the previous blade and there is less tear-out when cutting plywood. I recommend this blade for radial arm saw and sliding miter saws.

I gave it 5 stars not because I think its the best blade out there or could compete with really high end blades but because it is great blade for the price. I was really impressed with size of the carbide tips. Expected them to be pretty small throw away blades. This could be sharpened a few times adding even more to the value. Or chuck it and get another for only $35. This could be your workhorse blade and do almost everything you need it to. Gives you all the versatility of an ATB but leaves a flat bottom cut with the 4ATB and 1FTG.
