I received "The Christmas Story" Willow Tree figurine as a Christmas gift myself, and have loved displaying it every Christmas season. I love the simplicity of the figures, and especially the way Joseph has his cloak protecting Mary and the Baby Jesus. With that said, it is one of my favorite wedding gifts, because it will be brought out every year, (unlike many wedding gifts)...and, perhaps the recipients will remember who blessed them with it.

This is absolutely beautiful. Be careful to note the size. This set comes in two different sizes. I bought the large set because I wanted it to stand out. Joseph stands about 18" tall. This large set will not go with the nativity set, way too big, just in case your looking for that. They are in two pieces, Joseph is a separate piece than Mary. Very nice quality. Highly recommend.

Very, very fragile. Joseph's staff is just itching to snap in half. Please don't discard the box it comes in, like I did! I don't know how many holiday seasons he will last. Fits my crèche perfectly.

This set is absolutely beautiful. My mom had bought me a gorgeous set but it just wasn't quite my style. I felt so guilty having her spend so much money on something that I simply tolerated. I love featuring this piece in my home. I love how Mary is snuggling her sweet baby and Joseph is tenderly observing and protecting. I love the spirit of Christmas that it brings into my home. I use some fresh greens from my tree around it and it is absolutely beautiful. I love that it focuses on this new sweet family and the humble love they have for their newborn. Just be careful with the staff. The box includes instructions not to handle it by the small piece. It's hands-off for my kids and I don't forsee it being an issue since it is purely for decoration. So happy to have this beautiful piece in my home!
