The matches in the plastic bag are not strike anywhere matches and there is no match pad. The knife works for what I bought it for and the capsul is water proof. Dropped the knife in a pond and the pouch stayed bone dry.

The knife sucks! Not to mention it came in a damage box. The knife is super small and its dull, worst knife ever made!

I had read many reviews on amazon.com and for those that are worried about what others say about products make your own assuption. This product is exactly what is described I had thrown this knife against the tree and nothing happened to the knife. It still cuts and its still sharp. Great product. Highly recommended.

Bought this knife for a "go bag". I have a bag at home and one for the car. I needed one more knife. Good sheath and good construction. The handle seals well with the little survival kit. Good quality for the price. Be okay as a back-up unit for a serious woodsman, as without a full tanged hilt, there is not much strength or torque available. Recommend as basic camping piece or for your "go bag". Remember, if you get separated from your "go bag", this knife may be all of your survival gear! Be prepared.
