Follow the directions & get cheapest “marker†paint. The can lasts forever.

The Mingo marker was easy to use & Dead on. Used to use tape measures to mark firewood & it was time consuming. I often ruined tapes when I used chainsaw to mark logs; also struggled at times to keep tape in place. No such issue with paint marker. I was able to mark 4 or 5 logs as quickly as I could mark. I figure it shortened work time by 15-20%.
Makes stacking firewood a snap

Seems like a silly thing to buy, but glad I got it. Sure takes the guess work out of cutting my rounds and sure makes stacking my firewood a snap due to all the lengths being uniform
Comes with 16" wheel!

I will review it later, I have always wanted one and I guess I ordered it too quick but it does not come with paint and only came with the 16" wheel. I have always tried to cut 18" logs. 18" wheel price is more that the entire marker????
A must have for consistent production!

I was very hesitant to buy this gadget. I burn roughly 5 cord a year and prefer to have consistent lengths of splits for ease of stacking...and sleeping.
I will say, this little marker works great. I bought the 18" wheel, I'll review that separately. This unit sprays a small double circle but as long as you cut between those circles, it's a consistent distance. Smaller logs are a bit more difficult to keep the wheel steady on and the larger logs are easier. All in all, I'd buy another one. Chances are I'll have to at some point because the chances of running it over with my tractor or excavator are very likely. Don't hesitate to buy one.
