From the other reviews I read I decided to get it the size of her head (20)xxl, instead of her neck (18)xl so it would go over her head. And that XXL is way to big!! So I kept it in case she grows. But I then bought one based on her actual chest size though the neck measurement was a half inch small XL, as per the product page sizing chart.... It fit perfectly! LOVE it!! So unless your dogs head sits on his body like a bowling ball on a toothpick I would ignore those reviews about ignoring sizing chart measurements and measuring the head instead of the neck. In other words, PLEASE go by sizing instructions on this product page to measure for optimal fit. Did I mention I love this!?The fabric is perfect for the summer heat. It's a soft light breathable mesh. The pink color in pics have more purple to it that actual product. It's actually more of a pepto pink. Still good though) Thanks)

I ordered 2 harnesses for the dogs I just adopted, plus another 2 from a different vendor in a different size/color--as there was so much detail on the sizing--I just wasn't sure. I opened the other vendors item 1st (purple is my preferred color anyway) and they fit. When I went to return these unopened/unused harnesses, the return fee was > 50% of what I paid originally. I'm cancelling my return and donating these 2 harnesses to the rescue group instead. I don't mind paying some return charge; but > 50% of the original cost? They look like nice harnesses. But I will avoid this company in the future.

I have a very slim, muscular 70-ish Lb pitbull, so I ordered an XL based on the reviews. It is a little too large in the underarm area, but I am not sure if the large would be too small. My dog doesn't have a lot of hair, so I wanted it a little large so it didn't chafe under his armpits. I love the comfort of this harness. It is soft and easy to put on, which is especially important for dogs like mine who have trouble containing their excitement when you pull out the harness for walk time! My only complaint is that the harness shifts to the side when he pulls (which may have to do with it being slightly too large for my dog) which makes him slightly harder to control. Overall I would buy this product again!

I have a 50 pound golden retriever and ordered an XL. Never in my life would I think my rut of the litter golden would require a size XL in anything! :) I DID put it on her to see if it fits. I had to expand the band as far as it would go. The clasp is very difficult to squeeze open. I am hoping it might loosen up just a bit as used, obviously not too much because I don't want it to open unexpectedly. I haven't used it yet. I will update my post once we use it for a walk. One of my concerns is that it might rub under her legs and cause sores. I will keep all updated!

I was looking for a cool, comfortable harness for our Bolognese since we live in Texas. He weighs about 10 pounds and is not an extreme "puller", but has a tender throat and doesn't do well with collars. Since he usually indoors or in our fenced yard, he only wears the harness for walks and on trips. The fixed collar on this harness made putting it on an taking it off much easier than his previous harness. I used the size guide for ordering the correct size and it fit perfectly. I did see a few reviews that called out sizing issues. If your dog has a larger head thaan neck, I could see this being an issue, but not an issue for us. To test for this, hold the tape measure in a loop at the largest neck size for the size that you are planning on ordering. Slip the tape over the dogs neck to make certain it will fit. This is a lighter weight harness and does well with our small dog. I am not certain hhow well it woud work with a larger dog or a "puller". Their are other models that I suspect would work better for those situations, but this was exactly what we were looking for in our case.
