Eh. Doesn't work well with CAP plates.
Spenser✓ Verified PurchaseNovember 3, 2017
Eh. It's strange that the CAP weight set doesn't fit properly on the CAP weight tree. As others have mentioned, when you put the 25, 10, and 5 lb weights on one side, the 5's and 10's overlap. So I have to keep the 10's on the bottom center bar, since they won't even fit on the top one. Im practically picking them up off the floor at that point. It's just such an obvious mistake in the design, and it's incredibly annoying. Maybe if you use another brand of plates, they'll fit better.

I wouldn't have bought this if I had read the other reviews first. Oh well. At least it's cheap.
Some plates might not fit and the angled supports ruin this product.

Some people have luck with the 5's and 10's fitting fine, others do not. I am in the latter crowd. What makes it a bit annoying is that I bought a set of CAP olympic plates. So one might think that CAP olympic plates would fit a CAP olympic plate rack. Well, one would be wrong. It's annoying enough that I took away a star but not annoying enough to take away more than that.

UPDATE 9/13/2017 - I have been using the stand for over a month now and I have to say I am disappointed. Not only is the issue noted above still annoying, but pulling 45 lb plates off the stand with one hand is difficult. The fact that the supports are angled and not parallel with the floor is mind boggling. When parallel with the floor it makes pulling the weights off the rack super easy. When angled it means you basically need two hands to remove heavier plates. Particularly the 45s.
Great product for a good price.

I have a set of BFCO plates ranging from 5-45 (2 Each) & a set of VTX plates 2.5-45 (2 Each) I have everything on here with no overlapping. I mean it has 7 Pegs. 45,35,25,10,5,& 2.5 is 6. Not sure why people can't fit their plates on here. The VTX 25's are the only plates noticeably larger than the BFCOs. Everything else is the same diameter or close enough not to mention a difference. I put 45's (X4) on the bottom 2-peg side, with 25's (4X) above them. 35's (4X) on the bottom 3-peg side,10's (4X) in the middle,& 2.5's (2X) above them. Then I put the 5's (4X) on the bottom center peg,& the locks on the top center pegs. Now I could've put the 5's over the 10's,but it would've been touching a bit. But why even try to do that, when you have the 2 center pegs that easily accommodate small plates? Yes some brands are larger than others. But like another reviewer said, just adjust them until you get a fit that works for you. I tried 1 of the 5's over the 10's,& saw it was too close. So I immediately put the 5's on the bottom center peg. So everything fits fine. It's not rocket science. & its sturdy & saves plenty of space & makes things easier when picking up plates. I see absolutely no reason to put the 5's over the 10's if they don't fit. Looks like I could even put the 35's on the side with the 45's,but there's no point in that for Me. You have more space with the 25's over the 45's,for easy removing/replacing. & no problem removing/replacing the 35's. The 10's above don't pose a problem. & plus they're 10's! Also that bottom center peg looks like it could accommodate as big as 35's,for people who have more than 4. The other pegs can hold 5-6 max for 45/35/25,depending on your brand. 5 for these 2 brands I have. Then 3 more 10's with these I have. But 8 total if I had all BFCO. Plenty of space for more 5's & 2.5's.
plate rack is quite stable

I bought and assembled this for my husband as a gift. The CAP plate rack is holding up extremely well for costing less than $50. My husband is able to utilize all bar posts and although some plates (the 5s and 10s on the side with the 3 posts) do overlap, this has not been an issue for him. This plate rack is quite stable - there is currently close to 500 lbs loaded on it and it has not wobble. Overall, I'm please with this product since it is keeping plates off the ground and making the garage gym more organized.
Sturdy plate rack

This rack is very sturdy and holds all of my 2" Olympic Grip Plates ranging from 2.5 lbs to 45 lbs. The rubber base is a nice feature as it isolates the rack from clanging around when loading and unloading plates. Unfortunately, 45 lbs plates overlap when attempting to store them on both the top and bottom pegs of the two peg side.
