Lubed it all up

Never in my life I thought I would buy zipper lube but here I am! My boats isenglass seemed a little tough to zip and I lubed it all up and right away it didn't seem much better. I thought "here's more money my boat managed to suck up & spit out". That's boat ownership am i right? But the next trip out to my boat I had to unzip a few panels and what a difference!!! This stuff made a big difference and for whatever reason letting it sit really helped. So I will always keep some on hand.

This zipper lubricant is a useful product. I have a couple of old but good leather jackets whose brass zippers were gummy and showed verdigris. As a result, their operation was balky.
I applied a small amount of this lubricant to some Q-Tips and ran them up and down each zipper on both sides until all parts off the zipper were clean. The gunk came off and the lube replaced it, so now the zippers look and work a lot better.
A tip. When using this lube on clothing, apply carefully with only a minimum amount of lube and then lightly wipe the zipper afterward, to prevent the lube from migrating elsewhere. (Not that it'd be likely to harm anything if it did spread a little.)
