LOVE THIS... makes my chef knives super sharp
J. Miller✓ Verified Purchase•January 17, 2018
I LOVE THIS THING! Easy to use, keeps my knives razor sharp. I cook all the time and sharp knives make all the difference. Yes, this will eat away slowly at a blade, but really, I think even good knives have a lifespan. Mine are still going strong, and are much easier to use because of this gadget.
This type of knife sharpener is amazing. Better than everything out there

This type of knife sharpener is amazing. Better than everything out there, no matter how expensive. Buy one (or two) and you'll never go back.
Keep your pig sticker sharp

Will keep you sharp! Best as seen on tv item since the flesh light
Awesome.

This thing is amazing for the price. Quickest, easiest way to sharpen I've ever seen. Not quite as effective as a nice whetstone, but pretty close. I have about 14 different knives in my restaurant, all different types, and I can sharpen them all in about 10 minutes. No other sharpener I've found can do that.
Better than expected

I was really reluctant to purchase this device. I have literally hundreds of dollars worth of knife sharpening devices that I have purchased over the years, with varying degrees of success.
I can't believe that anything so simple, and cheap can do so well.
I haven't been able to get a "razor sharp edge" with it, but it does get close enough to that standard to be more than usable.
A few passes on a steel, or razor strop is all that is necessary if you really want to get the sharpest edge possible.
One bit of advice.
It doesn't require a whole lot of pressure to use, and with practice you can "feel" the drag increase as the blade gets sharper.
I finish up using ONLY the weight of the tool (ounces) and am quite satisfied with the sharpness that I obtain in this manner for most uses.
Cheap, simple, fool proof, and does better than I anticipated.
That's rare these days.
