This Company Needs Better Quality Control

The aluminum hose is really thin. It will do the job most likely. I have seen aluminum hoses a lot thicker and sturdier.
What irks me even more though is that one of the two tension clamps was simply a round spring wire and not bent backwards at the ends to allow pinching to keep the hose onto the dryer or vent pipe. That pisses me off. To make the spring into a viable clamp I needed to take it to a metal vise and bend both ends of the spring back. The customer shouldn't have to fix what the company has already promised and the customer paid for in the first place..

So I bought this product thinking it was going to be what I needed. I was mistaken. I installed this hose, and everything was fine for about ten minutes. After ten minutes it started making a funny noise in the laundry room. I went to look at the noise and couldn't see anything. So I took the vent off. I found out that the inside of the vent hose has a plastic liner. Which had been ripped from the hose by my dryer from the Force from it. Not only that after I removed the film from the wall vent, the metal from this rusted. Literally rusted from the short amount of time it was used. Bought this on Sunday. Installed it on Monday. Was thrown in the trash on Tuesday. Do not waste your time or money on this product.

After spending a couple of hours trying to reconnect the semi flexible duct that had come off the dryer, I finally ordered this. I had it installed in 10 minutes with a much better seal than the original. Highly recommended for installation. I will have to see how it holds up, but I do not anticipate any issues. I might add that this was much cheaper than the semi-flex stuff.

Not a fan of those spring clips as I think traditional hose clamps are easier to work with. And always try to make the flex part of the run the smallest. Use rigid pipe wherever possible with the least amount of turns. Consider a rigid 90° elbow instead of using flex for that tight a turn.

We had trouble using the "normal" stiff dryer ducts because they are a pain in the butt. This was amazing, we didn't have to cuss the dryer at al!! We have a very small space between our washer and dryer, so getting the "normal" dryer duct to stay on was almost impossible. This one took less than 5 minutes. I would recommend this product to anyone and we will never go back to the "normal" ones again.
