After reading all of the other reviews, I wondered if these strings would live up to the hype, and they did! I've got these on a fretless Tobias Classic 6 that I've had for 23 years, and just couldn't find a set of strings for it that I was happy with. I resisted flatwounds because I was expecting the high-tension feel and thuddy response of the other brands I had tried, These are slinky and feel great, but have plenty enough bite and growl when you dig in. They are expensive by comparison, but if they even last half as long as other reviewers have mentioned they will be a bargain.
Great for 6 St el bass

I have been using these strings for about 5 years. I play a Yahama TRBJP and I love these strings. At the time I began using these strings I wanted a string that would allow me to blend with a big Band that I was playing with and also allowed me to play commercial sounds. I was particularly focused on transiting from the G string to the C string in position, they do a pretty good job at that. In the upper registers that sound great when soloing.

expensive but SO worth it - never heard such resonance and clarity. still not as bright sounding as roundwounds, but clear tonal center and the greatest resonance I've EVER heard on a low B - you know how sometimes it can be hard to get a low B to register clearly on a tuner? not with these guys. can't recommend them highly enough for jazz playing. like butter under my fingers...
best strings made

I have never found a better set of strings. In my case I put them on a 35" scale Schecter.
Good flats - expensive, though

I've been using them on my 6-string fretless and they sound very good overall, despite the premium price. I just hope they'll last over the years.
The set sports a beefy B - really strong bass, clear, focused timbre. Other strings feel nice and smooth. A bit lighter on the tension on the D,G and C strings, but nothing to take the 5-star review.
