Key features

  • BREAKTHROUGH YOUR PHYSICAL LIMITS - As most athletes know, if you want to improve your overall fitness you MUST train your weakest link. But there's a difference between knowing this and DOING IT. If you're looking to take your power lifting or other feats of strength to the next level then this is how you succeed... you TRAIN YOUR GRIP.
  • DESIGNED TO INCREASE YOUR GRIP STRENGTH - There's nothing in a typical gym that compares to these hand grippers. Just think about it. Nearly every piece of equipment you touch wasn't SOLELY created to target and isolate your forearms, fingers, and wrists. Meaning there's no chance they'll be as effective as these grip strengtheners.
  • ON-THE-GO HAND EXERCISES - Unlike most training, you can do these exercises just about anywhere. You can use these while you're at the office or even in the car if you travel for work. They're basically a discrete training tool that transforms your job and downtime into productive workout sessions.
  • CREATE HANDS OF STEEL - Just like in life, you're going to have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. We mention this because our grip handles weren't built for dainty little hands. They were built to toughen you up and that's how finger exercises should be. Trust us, your hands will get used to it and, afterwards, you'll be grateful for it.
  • THE PERFECT PROGRESSION - No matter where you're starting, and how strong you want to get, there's always room to grow. That's why our grippers increase at 50 lbs increments: to help you stay physically challenged. Thus, if all 6 grippers seem like too much then just start with the first 3 weights (100lbs, 150lbs, 200lbs). Whatever your needs, we've got you covered

I purchased these a couple of years ago and still have and use with the exceptions of a few things. 1) the grip is rough on the inside fingers, a quality that after time, a woman won't appreciate too much as this roughs up the skin. 2) they hurt after a while not allowing me to keep doing reps. 3) one of the grips came lose and when I squeeze it, it rotates and doesn't allow the correct purpose of this exercise. I suppose I can go to a home depot and check what's on the market to have the male and female part of the handle make a good and strong and possibly, a permanent bond. Downfall #3 happened a long time ago, but I haven't put any effort in fixing it as the one I utilize everyday works great except for downfall #1 and #2.
Good alternative to Captain of Crush. Until a certain point.

I've owned a set of five of these for (100 - 350 lbs) for a couple of years with on and off training. I closed 100 right away, got to 150 no problem, worked a couple of months to close 200 (fully closed on the photo). After about six more months, I'm about half an inch away from closing 250, but it's been an impossible task so far.

But here is a big "but". Just like many fellow gripper fans, I'm interested in getting CoC certified. Couple of months back I bought CoC #2 advertised at 195 lbs resistance... and failed to close it (see photo), even though I'm easily closing Heavy Grips-200 lbs 5-7 times per set. The problem is - CoC grippers are slightly wider in the starting position (the right one on the head to head photo), so for an average sized hand like mine this extra distance can make a huge difference. I'm still unable to close COC #2 after two months of consistent training. So here is another disadvantage of Heavy Grips - they go up in 50 lbs increments. Any serious gripper will attest that this a gigantic difference and to get to the next level would be very challenging (although, I would probably progress quicker if I could go to the gym). This is where CoC wins with its 11 levels of resistance within almost the same range. However, at their price - Heavy Grips are an unbeatable deal. CoC cost $26 apiece, you can get this effectively at $10-$12 each, and Heavy Grips' handles are less rough on your hands. So if you don't care about getting CoC certified - by all means, get Heavy Grips. It will challenge you enormously and provide well above average grip strength. Bigger hands or CoC certificate oriented will probably be better off with CoC.
Awesome!

I purchased the 100, 150 and 200 and also the 250, 300 and 350

Let me start off by saying that I have pretty intense forearms and grip to begin with. I have 50, 60, 90 and 100 lb rubber rings that I squeeze alot. I broke the 100lb ring and decided that I needed to revert to metal. I would have gone to these in the first place if I had known about them!

Very good value and very good quality. Every heavy grip comes with a lifetime warranty. I see reviews complaining that something broke, well get a replacement for life! I had no problems at all with my grippers. They were right in-line with their rated spec weight. Because I had already been doing the rings etc the 100lb was not enough and I gave it to a buddy. I started with the 150 and 200. The gripper package tells you, but I will emphasize again train like you would with any other weight and you will see impressive gains in your hand strength. 10-12 reps and then do the higher weight 10-12 and then drop to the lower weight and do 10-12 more reps. Negatives or using your non gripping hand to assist squeezing then slowly releasing with your gripper hand works too. Then give yourself a day to recover. So I started with the 150 and 200 and in 5-6 days (or my 2nd or 3rd session) I started integrating the negative 250 lbs down to the 150. After about 8-9 days I am only using the 200 and 250. I did a bunch of reps with the 150 for the heck of it earlier after a set with the 250 and 200 though. I plan on starting to integrate the 300 with negatives in another 5-7 days. When you get to the point of doing the 200, 250, 300 or 350 no one will have a stronger grip than you. I squeeze my reps with the 250 and no one that I work with can come close to squeezing it once. A guy who I work with saw the 250 in the drawer at work and picked it up and tried to squeeze it. He looked at me and was in disbelief that I squeezed the thing (He actually didn't believe that I did until I grabbed it from him and knocked out 10 reps) You get to the 200 or 250 and Popeye will have nothing on you. Beyond that and you need to be very careful when you shake other peoples hands.

Great quality grippers delivered promptly and inexpensively. I highly recommend.
Built to outlast your lifetime :(

Very tough grips, very harsh on the hand palm. you must wear weight lifting gloves when using this product. As for quality;these grips are very rugged, built to last. I could pass this on to my son,and he unto his Son...if I had kids;which I do not by choice. I'll be an old man in 40 years, still using these grips. Oh yeh,I'm already a Beast of a Man,so I started on the 200 pound grips.. I can do sets of ten squeezes. With the 100 pound force grips;I could do about 50 to 100 reps. I'm a Beast, and I'm not even giving it my all;I haven't worked out in a month...I get tired sometimes...life!
Much Better than the Mummy Fit Death Grip

These grips are the best exercise you'll ever find for increasing forearm size & strength. No type of weight exercise can even come close to isolating the forearm as effectively as these grips do. They also develop tremendous finger & wrist strength. The only part of the grip they don't exercise is the almighty thumb. For that I recommend a static full body hang from cannonballs (make your own). The big advantages of this set over the Death Grip (DG) is that the Death Grip is mostly plastic and won't toughen up (put calluses on) your hands, as well as the DG only has a limit of 154 lbs of resistance. This set goes up to 350 lbs. I'm a recreational weight lifter, stronger than your average man. Still, I can't quite bring the 200 lb grip together. I tried the 250 lb grip & I could barely move it. That's good because the grips give you a measurable progression to eventually work your way toward. If you're ever able to close the 350 lb grip you should be able to rip knobs out of doors, and crush the small bones in lesser men's hands when you shake them.
