It's hard to admit (as I do like to cook with the freshest foods possible) but I do like this on occasion. However, after preparing according to the box directions I like to add a pound of cooked pasta (ziti is my preference), half-cup of tomato sauce, half-cup of grated cheese (mozzarella blend) and a pound of cooked meatballs. Then let it heat a little longer in the saucepan. Funny but I really don't really like baked ziti but when I make the HH this way I will eat it several days in a row.

Can't get enough of this! I usually make two batches (boxes) at once and have enough for breakfast for the whole week. Honestly, you have to otherwise the amount of cheese product they give you just isn't enough in just the one box.
Make sure you read the directions and add the salt it suggest, or you will get a bland flavorless result. I also add in dried onion flakes and a bit of onion powder when adding all of the ingredients (use more flakes than powder). Make sure you add them with the water so they're not hard crunchy bits when you go to eat.

It is easy to make and taste delicious. I like to grill out and this makes takes so much better. It takes common products like milk,water, and butter. You do not have to add spices or seasonings. I can't imagine it being easier or better. This is only one type and there are many types and flavors. I substitute gilled chicken for tuna for boxes calling for tuna. Everyone I have served it to likes it very much, even the my particular grandson. Give it a try.

I know many people are opposed to Hamburger Helper.
BUT I'M NOT ONE OF THEM!!
Growing up in a family of five kids and two parents, my mother often cooked Betty Crocker's easy-and-quick-meals. (Of course my mother probably had to double it for the seven of us. lol) And we loved it. No it wasn't homemade meatloaf and scalloped potatoes, or roast beef and mashed potatoes; but it was delicious to us and easy for Mom.
Now as a single man, it is still a great dinner: quick and easy when I come home from work; and delicious and satisfying; leaving me leftovers for either lunch or another dinner.
