I am on my third one of these (thanks SquareTrade for saving me) and while it works well, it dies at or before the end if the winter and needs to be replaced. I live in WNY and we have some cold winters and can have some heavy snowfall. I use salt but not on this thing, so I can't imagine it's being corroded. It just doesn't seem to be durable. I'm going to have to file another claim this year, and when they give me my money back, I don't know if I will buy another one.

I wanted to like this mat because the idea behind it seemed inventive. It's a bit heavy in weight for a mat and seems well constructed. For one season it worked beautifully by melting the snow and ice that had accumulated by my front door. With the coming of spring I washed the mat and stored it in its original box. The next winter season it just stopped working at the beginning of the season. I was very disappointed since when it functioned it was excellent. This is an expensive investment in a piece of equipment that lasts only one season. I therefore could not recommend purchasing.

This mat works better than expected, I am not disappointed with this ma.t I have yet to be snowed in, as my rear door is 1 inch lower than the deck.

1 year and 2 months after getting the mat it stopped working. I kept it plugged in only in Jan, Feb, Nov and Dec of 2016 and Jan and Feb of 2017.

That is my experience with this product. Not so good!!! :(

I bought 2 of them, one in November 2015 which stopped working after 4 months. Then another December 2016, hoping it would last a bit longer. But no, it died after 2 months. When it is working, it's great, but it's not worth $120 if it doesn't last the whole cold season. I can not recommend this product.
