I've had this for about four months now and it's not airtight anymore. It's not a make it or break it deal for me, it still serves it's purpose as a container with a lid and I like the wheels but it is no longer airtight...thought that might matter to someone. The reason being they use a soft foam material as the seal and it is smaller than the crease it molds into so the foam gets pushed into the crease and no longer sticks out enough to create the seal with the bottom edge of container, maybe if rubber would've been used instead then that wouldn't happen?... Hard to explain in text, hope that makes sense.

I normally don't take the time to review things, but this container was not only defective, but completely skimpy on size, too. I figured I would do the right thing and warn other customers off. First, the defect: the latch handle is so flimsy and loose that the hinged container lid merely rests on the top of the container. The handle does not snap into place. It is nowhere near airtight, and in fact is not even the least bit secure.

Now for the size discrepancy: The container states on the label that it is 16.5" long. Measuring outer lip to outer lip (being generous here, since what really matters is the internal measurement) it is under 15.5" long. It says it is 6.5" high on the label, but in fact it is 5.5" high. Even the 10 and 13/16" measurement is short by half an inch. While none of this may matter to you if you're using this container to store birdseed or whatnot, it is really a bummer to find that they skimped on size if you are using this to store tools and materials that have specific dimensions and can't be smooshed to fit.

One bright spot: Kudos to Amazon for customer service. I opened the box upon arrival, saw that the container was defective and started the process for return. They refunded my money immediately and I don't have to go to the trouble of mailing this back. I am bummed that I am adding more plastic to the landfill, though.

A nice sturdy storage container, but *not* pest-proof, as advertised. It will keep bugs out of your pet food, but not rodents.

I bought this container a few days ago to store wild bird food in my garage. It took a determined rat less than one day to gnaw away a substantial part of the lid. Thanks to a pile of plastic bits on the floor of my garage, I detected the problem before the rat actually managed to get to the food, but it was a close call. Another day, and I would have been hosting a rodent feast!

I have now replaced this plastic container with a galvanized steel bucket and locking lid.

Wheels broke off in about two months. Very disappointed because initially, it seemed great and was easy to maneuver. The plastic around the wheel insert just snapped with little stress.

So annoyed! Contacted by a rep about my negative review shortly after the original post. I responded and was so impressed that someone from the company responded. NO FOLLOW THROUGH. Insult to injury! Just threw the container out yesterday after looking at my mend job with duct tape. The rep stated in the email that I probably got a faulty product, and apparently I did but to email me and not follow up on my response is poor customer service. I drew the short straw on this one because everyone else pretty much raves about the product.

We use these for organizing toys for my kids!! We had one bucket that was getting dusty and gross, that sat behind the couch when they weren't in use. The toys at the bottom we're getting very funky, dusty & covered in pet hair. I bought six containers and organize their toys by type. The kids can roll them around the house very easy, pick them up very easy, and open them up very easy. It's been over six months now, and the toys are all perfectly clean, and the kids can put them back so easy so they don't get all mixed up in a big bucket. I've never use them for food storage, but for toy storage, they're the best thing ever!!
