An essential cleaner for night guards.
Roger D. Leahey•February 27, 2017
A great way to clean your night guard. However, I choose to not use standard 1.5v batteries. I use easily obtainable 3.7v rechargeable batteries and that makes the motor go like h___. And it doesn't hurt the motor at all. I use the cleaning tablets sold by the same company.
Keeping My Retainers Sparkling Clean

This item is not working as well as the last one i got. I understand they're fairly inexpensive, but the sonic element is not working properly. Too bad, really liked this the first time.

This is super helpful. I was a little skeptical since there were some bad reviews about quality, which I don't doubt, there's not much to this thing but for the price, its not a big deal to replace every few months. One tip that I'll give is to remove the lid, this will cut down on some of the noisiness. I use this to soak my invisalign in peroxide/rubbing alcohol/retainer cleaner. Prior to this, I was just soaking them in a regular cup, so the slight vibration is an upgrade. Overall, it does a good job for only being $5.
ok

just ok - for only a few $ it's pretty much what I'd expect. I use it for my night guard with the Retainer Brite tabs - there's no auto-shutoff so don't leave it and walk away for a long time (yes it does move across the counter as others have noted). I do think my night guard seems cleaner than when I just soaked it in the water with Retainer Brite tab in a glass, so it's worth the price.
Perhaps over-engineered for the need

This unit is fine. It's just that, when you drop in the cleaner tablet to soak the appliance in when you're not wearing it, and you turn on the unit, the foaming you get can exceed the little tub if you're not careful to fill it appropriately. My daughter took to just leaving it off, which then begs the question as to why have a battery-operated unit. We chose a more basic unit that doesn't vibrate, and it works fine.
