The scroll frame is a great product. I have a larger size already and it's so comfortable for cross stitch. I was disappointed in the quality of this product (see photos). The wood hasn't been sanded and was very roughly stamped. You can use it out of the box - I didn't order the splinters!!

It's not what I want, too small to do cross stitch ,think only less than $10, don't want to return just throw away, have to buy another style.
Completly Rough & Unfinished

I bought this for working smaller projects that would be overwhelmed by a standard size frame. It was easy to assembly and fits tightly so that the bars do not slip. The screws and nuts are also of decent quality and will be durable. However, when I took it out of the package I found it was totally rough as though it had just been cut with a rip saw. It was completely unusable when it came to any kind of fine floss because it would have badly snagged anything it came in contact with. It took a couple of hours sanding to get in into a condition that I would consider fit to use. It will be fine now, but anyone buying one of these should expect to do the finish work yourself.
A small headache

One of the split dowels is off kilter and hard to get fabric into. Also there are splinters everywhere. I'm trying to get two pieces of fabric in at the same time and it's impossible. I'll have to glue them. Otherwise fine.
