Great Product, Half the Price, Horrible Instructions

This is a great product made from actual metal hardware (if that makes sense, like not made from plastic), so it's not flimsy or cheap feeling. The glass shades actually have this swirly smokey design on it (you just can't really see it once it lights up), but it matches my pendant lighting from my kitchen perfectly.
We found it easy to install (note: we cut the cord down, and removed some of the links because it would hang too low), but that's only because we've done quite a bit of electrical in the house. The directions that come with this thing are terrible. Overall though, it took us about an hour to install this thing - not bad.
This thing is also half the price of comparable chandeliers at Home Depot or Lowes - same quality. Hooking up the electrical was also easy in my opinion, just twist one wire to the black, and another to the white. We didn't even have a ground wire (our house is old), so we just cut it off. Anyhow, I highly recommend it - but if the directions are confusing, try googling online for just general hooking up light fixture directions - it's all the same theory.

No serious assembly required as other reviews state, just rearrage arms to pentagon shape and then install. Add glass diffusers after installation. Not flimsy metal but feels solid and does have some heft. Especially after glass diffusers are added. There is a little bit of play allowed in the glass diffuser seating so they can all be leveled easily after install.
Looks nice, light, modern, brushed nickle finish is neutral and clean in appearance. So happy to not be looking at the gold plated 60's eyesore with those flame shaped bulbs. No offense to those that are making that work. ..
Price for design blows big box store offerings away like nobody's business

This lighting fixture is so pretty. Everyone who walks into my kitchen notices it and compliments on how pretty it is and how much light it gives off.
Beautiful, easy, affordable fixture upgrade!

I LOVE this chandelier and have gotten MANY compliments from guests. It's my little secret though that I only paid fifty five bucks on amazon instead of hundreds at those big home improvement stores....
I'm a woman who's done electrical wiring at home before (hanging ceiling fans, bath vanity fixtures) and I found it fairly easy and straightforward to take down my existing chandelier and install this one. The instructions included weren't always so clear, but again, since I've done this type of project before, it wasn't a big deal. The HARDEST part was opening the top and bottom links of the chain -- it takes some muscle. But I finished the project by myself in 1 evening.
Also, the finish is a tad more shiny than I expected for what was supposed to be brushed nickel. I was concerned that it wouldn't match my other brushed nickel fixtures, but since it's so beautiful otherwise, a little mismatch is ok. Highly recommended fixture.

The quality complaints of other reviews ALMOST made me move on but I decided to roll the dice. Overall it is a nice looking fixture but there were a few quality problems out of the box: One of the glass fixtures has a chip in the top. I am going to contact for replacement glass and will update my review if needed. (2) there were a few small rust spots on one of the arms which wasn't visible until I hung it from the ceiling. I was able to kind of fix it (rub with foil so it's only noticeable if you know where to look) but it was a sloppy finish in that spot and the hassle to return outweighs living with it. The complaints about assembly difficulty were worse than what I actually experienced but the directions are indeed poorly written. Fortunately it was mostly pre-assembled and if you pay attention to how you remove the old fixture, it's not that difficult. The hardest part was threading the wires through the chain and into the box (took a loooooong time) but the whole process was pretty standard for that type of light. TIPS: Buy the little LED bulbs, not regular size. The complaints about differing heights are overblown and can be easily corrected by adjusting the glass things and light pressure on the arms (easy). The photo on Amazon looks shinier than it really is-it is a LITTLE bit shinier than my brushed nickel faucet but really not by much. Save your old fixture parts-one of the supplied parts was too long so I reused the one from the old fixture. Don't electrocute yourself. Overall: nice looking, reasonable cost, standard assembly, a few minor manufacturing defects with the worst being rust on a joint and small glass chip
