perfect!!!!!!!!!!!

I got this chest for my 4 year old daughter to store her dress up clothes in. We received this item on Aug 24. It is not as nice as pictured and not a sturdy as you think. The lid didn't "fit". It was warped and never shut properly, looked like someone sat on it. But even though it was not quite as nice as I expected, my daughter liked it. However, by mid October I noticed the the ruffle around the lid started to fray...terribly. I have smaller children and was worried about them pulling and eating the frayed stuff. I contacted playhut, and sent them pictures...they told me I received defective product, and got a "sorry"...but after 30 days--they would not replace it, just a "sorry". Wait-huh? I ended up removing the ruffle, so my kids can play safely. More fraying happened elsewhere. Removed that. Then before too long, the "frame piping" broke from the kids leaning in and out of the chest to get things. At the time, my kids ages were 4, 2.5, and 1. Poorly constructed and didn't stand the kid test....

Great chest to put dolls, dress-up clothes, anything you like to keep in a hope chest

I bought this for my daughter (2 years old) to use as a storage chest for her dress up clothes. I loved the fact that it's all about Cinderella, and not all the Disney Princesses. I found it very easy to put together, the instructions were clear, and I had it together in about 3 minutes. When I bought this chest, I realized that it is made of nylon placed over plastic tubing. It does not have sturdy sides, and will not support the weight of a child reaching in and leaning over the edge. I would not place heavy toys in it - it's clearly not meant for this use - but it's perfect for my daughter's tutus and feather boas! She loves that she can put her dress up shoes in the pockets and reach them in a hurry.

I bought this for my daughter to use as a toy box until we got a more permanent one. It's not easy to assemble nor are the poles holding it together sturdy enough. Then bend and then break in 1/2 leaving sharp edges a child can get hurt on. The edging on the top of the chest comes apart at the seems leaving a strangulation hazard and the fabric that makes the chest is hard to manipulate enough to velcro around the poles on top. The velcro doesn't hold it together so it's always falling down and being put back together. Not worth the money I spent on it.
