So this is essentially as advertised. The issues are more with certain velcro fasteners than with this brush. This can really restore good/heavy velcro (3M etc) but cheaper velcro (eg kids shoes) do not retain enough "hooks" over time and their loop pads are not robust enough to survive this tool.
