I really like traveling with this pen both domestic and internationally. The metal clip makes great storing on my Traveler's Notebook. Using T10 cartridges, I have not had a leak to and from Europe (8-10 hrs) on multiple flights. I would think a converters would be a better advantage, but I have not tried them yet. It writes smoothly and ink flows very well. It is also very light and a large range of colors to choose from. It is a quality pen and I would recommend it to anyone getting into fountain pens or experienced with them.

i flushed the blue out, as usual, and then put in the ink cartridge. wrote smooth and great. you can buy converters for these, but converters tend to cause flow problems in most pens. its not too hard to clean cartridges, but with a syringe, you can flush the cartridge and fill it when its dried out with any color of ink you can buy for fountain pens. i must say, every time i use their ink in the lamy cartridge, it writes kind of dry and is irritating. i suspect the ink they give with the pen is watered down a bit so that it lasts longer in storage? idk. one other thing, if you like the silver clip, you will love this pen, but black and red clips are less glaring than this one. you don't think it will be such a big deal but wow it just clashes so bad. i think they should get rid of all the stainless steel colored clips. it looks too sterile and paperclippy. good pen though!
