The smell is overpowering and does not really go away!

I thought that maybe the people that wrote the reviews on how much it smelled were maybe just being too picky but this rubber smells so strong that it hurts the throat. I ended up having to throw it away after trying to air it for a few weeks. Even when my dog was laying on it his body would smell! Usually I'm too busy running around with the kids to notice things like this but this one was overpowering.

Will only use in garage or when moving furniture in/ out of a house because still stinkly after airing out for weeks.

Perfect! I use these on my concrete boat slip just outside of the boat to prevent passengers from stepping onto concrete and possibly slipping with wet feet. They do the job, and they are easily moveable and rinse off as needed.
