Multiple trays don't match very well.

I ordered 4 of these and while they are nice looking, they are each a very different shade of brown, almost as though they were stained with different stain colors. One is a lighter walnut, another really dark, and the other two are somewhere in between. If they were more uniformly stained, I'd give them a 5 star.

I honestly "loved" it! It looks like an artisan's piece. The wood is beautifully painted/ stained - even with a tiny missing spot (on one of my two), and the felt covers enough to slide and not scratch the table (if you need more, four felt pads will easily solve it). I got such a good warehouse deal on someone else's returned item, that I quickly bought a second one in the other size. I recommend them...

It looks nothing like the image. It is a RED mahogany color and it is a cheap wood that has been spray painted, which you can see in the corners where the spray fades away. I've bought several letter trays like this now searching fr a brown wood tone and this one by far was the cheapest quality.

This appears to be a low-quality item, not as nice as it appears in the photograph. It is adequate in a cubicle, but not what you want in an executive office.
The finish somewhat random. The joints are easily visible, and the wood is not well prepped before the finish is applied.
Keep your expectations very low and it will be ok.

I'm pretty happy with this desk tray. Bought it to keep on my desk to use as an inbox for anyone dropping off things at my desk. Don't you hate when you come in and your desk is cluttered with random paperwork from coworkers? Get one of these....it will stop that! It can hold a lot too. Its sleek looking and fits nicely on the corner of your desk (or really anywhere). I chose the dark cherry wood color and it looks nice. Seems pretty durable and it will definitely get used a lot. I highly recommend if you are looking to have a designated spot on your desk for incoming paperwork...or even if you need a place to store things to be more organized.
