We are very limited in buying umeboshi plums in the U.S. It is very salty and tastes like chemical. I will have to buy better ones in Japan and just bring some to the US. This one is expensive too.
Arrived leaking in package

These plums arrived in an envelope that was soaked through with juice from the plums. Could not eat the plums since the package was compromised and who knows what could be contaminating the food product inside. Seller provided a refund.

The ingredients list is as it should be. However, it is saltier than I generally like my umeboshi to be (there was additional large crystal salt that was sprinkled on the plums), and not as pickled as I like, but it's not bad. I think I prefer the ones that are a bit more fermented and less dry fermented/salty.
