Better than the older reviews indicate - sets up easily. Good value for the money.

A number of the reviews I read were older and it looks like Texsport made some design changes since then. Specifically, there is no problem in putting the top together - in fact, it comes in a carrying case designed to fold the top without having to take the top pieces apart - so I found it pretty easy to put together. The only thing I would change is there ought to be a zipper or draw string on the roof - which is mesh. I bought this for an outdoor shower when camping, and when using a solar shower, the bag has to be hung over the tent and come through the top - but there is no opening. I will cut an opening, so no big deal, but it would have been nice if it had a closeable opening of some sort.

The product was shipped well and on time. The issue is with the manufacturing. The connectors that connect the straight poles to the curved poles at the top brake under any stress. First wind we had snapped two of them right off and there is no way to repair them you have to buy new connectors. I emailed the manufacturer and was told that replacement connectors would cost 24 for a pair, that's half what I paid for it. Other than that I had no other issues with it. Worked and went up as stated but for the poorly made pole connectors.

I believe this is a Hilo Hut, not a Hilo Hut II. Both tents have the same model number 01085, which is were the confusion lies. Here is the instructions for the one pictured with windows, the Hilo Hut. http://www.texsport.com/Instructions/01085%20Hilo%20Hut%20Shelter.pdf. Per the instructions, there should not be a cord running through the poles. Cut it out and assemble, makes it much easier.
If you have a true Hilo Hut II, here are its instructions. http://www.texsport.com/Instructions/01085%20Hilo%20Hut%20II.pdf

Utter crap
B.W. Behling•September 10, 2015
This turned out to be utter crap. Cheap shock corded poles that the elastic was so weak on that they wouldn't stay together, fabric so thin you could see right through it in daylight, and a complete lack of instructions or documentation of any kind. It arrived in a plain, unmarked cardboard box, thrown inside a plastic shipping envelope with a shipping label half falling off. The wife and I tried for over an hour to get it together and failed. The elastic in the shock cords is so weak it won't hold the sections together, and then gets in the way of trying to put them back together when they fall apart. We also noticed that the fabric was so thin that you could easily see your hand through it, and we expect that it would not take much to rip it. We also had to repair the door zipper (which was pulled apart in shipping) before we could even start trying to assemble it. The complete lack of documentation or instructions of any kind was just icing on the cake. This one is going right back to the seller for a refund.
Little disappointed that the product doesnt match the image

Little disappointed that the product doesnt match the image. Real item does not have the side vents and is open at the top. In most cases this is fine, but when its hot outside, you cant allow a breeze in, as was my case on the first use.
