Works okay on pale skin
eeeeeeelDecember 7, 2017
This sunscreen is very thick, somewhat difficult to apply, and leaves a whitish cast on the skin. It also has an annoying tendency to rub off on anything it touches, like my clothes and phone. Would not recommend if you aren't already a pale person. However it did not irritate my skin or cause me to break out. I will not buy it again because I found a chemical sunscreen that works for me.
Great Sunscreen For Long Days Outside
Marie FarrellAugust 22, 2017
It's thicker than I like, but it works like magic. Ideal for camping, hiking, and any long stay outdoors activities. I'm a freckled redhead and I never got burnt from using this (except when I forgot to re-apply after a few hours at the beach!). Doesn't have a gross smell, and the greasy feel is far less than most toxic sunscreens on the market. Zinc is best & recommend this one!
Good value for an excellent sunscreen

Excellent sunscreen, free of irritating chemicals. It goes on smoothly and does not require a lot of rubbing in. There is also a version that is water resistant for a longer time; I have used that as well and am equally happy. The price is very reasonable for a zinc oxide product, and a little goes a long way. Living in the desert, I cover myself in sunscreen every day, and this is an excellent option that actually provides the level of protection that it claims, unlike some big name sunscreens whose claims of SPF 50 were recently found to be false - that nameless product actually was SPF 8.
Horrible skin reaction to this product. (and im not allergic to anything! or so I thought...)

Sun Bum SPF 50 Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion, 3-OunceI purchased this item at the beginning of the summer because I was looking for a safer, more natural alternative to chemical sunscreen. I applied it to my face and neck daily for about two weeks while spending an average of 8-10 hours per day working in the sun. After a few days I began to notice brown patches on my neck and chest. I did not believe this was related to the sunblock because I have never experienced any allergies to products in the past so I continued use while checking off other possible causes.
During the next two weeks of continued use the brown areas turned into burning rough patches of itchy dry skin. It is worth noting that I was not using any other skin creams or makeup during this time. Almost immediately after I discontinued use of this product, the brown patches disappeared and have never returned.
In conclusion, I do not recommend this product. I wish I could support this company that supposedly makes safe/natural sunscreen alternatives but folks this is definitely not one of those products. Stay away from this product, unless you want itchy brown patches of skin that burns with sun exposure.
Try Sun Bum. I have been using the SPF 30 one on my face and neck daily and my skin actually looks smoother and feels softer than when I used a department store brand anti-wrinkle 'magic face cream'.
The 30 SPF was great, but unfortunately

Don't be fooled. The pictured tube "Burnout 30SPF" is NOT what you will be getting. The 30 SPF was great, but unfortunately, it has been discontinued. This one, the 35, is HORRIBLE! Thick, white while the other actually made my skin look better. I was thrilled when I discovered Burnout 30 SPF for sensitive skin several years ago. After running out, I ordered the Burnout for sensitive skin, only to find out that the 30SPF had been replaced with the 35 SPF. I have searched for the previous one to no avail. Bottom line, the picture is a misrepresentation of what you will be getting. The consistency is not even close to the original. With all of the complaints regarding this, you would think that Burnout would offer the one that was a hit, especially for those of us who have sensitive skin. The search goes on. (Sigh) Guess it was too good to be true to think that it would last.
