I've used several cans of this stuff on my 99 Dodge van to paint over a repaired area underneath. I also decided to completely paint the wheel wells with the black shell product. It went on fine and initially it looked really good. But after a year I discovered the entire coating was pulling away from the wheel well. I called Rust Bullet and asked about it, and they said that shouldn't happen, and perhaps I didn't prep the surface correctly or I put it on incorrectly. So I pulled it all off, washed the surface down with metal blast and soap and water, and then repainted the wheel wells with the silver automotive rust bullet. Time will tell how well the silver coating adheres, but I haven't ever had trouble with it peeling off in the past.

I love the Rust Bullet product. I'm using it on my 85 GT Mustang project. However, like another person has stated, when I opened up this brand new gallon of top coat, it was gel. What a waste of $140!!! I am beyond pissed. I have everything set up in the garage to topcoat some pieces and I'm basically butt out. I'm going to head to NAPA and buy some cheap black paint and knock this out. Beyond pissed off and disappointed right now.

I have bought and used 2 quarts sized white top coat with no problems.

I want to give 5-stars to Amazon though. They quickly rectified (rectified...damn near killed them!) the situation. Thanks Amazon!!!

The can was new when I opened it for the first time but the paint had the consistency of tar. Too bad because I've used the product before and it was great!

Turned into a rubber gel before I could use. Had to run out in the middle of a project and buy a different brand at AutoZone for 50 bucks(larger can)

When I opened the can, All I had was a semi hard paste, no paint! I guess I took too long to open it!
