I'll start off by saying this is a review based on initial inspection of the Vaultz Locking Utility Box.

I'm not impressed, but not upset due to price.
Cosmetically, it's really nice in and out. But pull back the felt it's just some thin pressed wood.

If someone wanted to get in, they most likely could. They could most likely pry the latch off with a decent screwdriver. The walls are made of some type of pressed wood, which have some flex, but I wasn't able to punch through with just pressing on it. A hammer would likely punch right through the top/bottom though, as there doesn't seem to be any bracing in the middle, the wall would likely separate from the nice metal corner-peices.

There is a nice spot you can put a gasket around the border, but you would have to put one in. There is a little slop in the cover without one, so it is by no means waterproof (no points taken off, since it wasn't advertised as such).

Overall, it will serve its purpose of being a cash box for a few days to stuff under the seat of the vehicle. If anyone should find it, the lock is a deterrent, which is all we were looking for.

This box is perfect for medical use. I use it to transport my medicine back home. The lock isnt the strongest against theft, although it isnt a cheap lock either. You'd have to mess with it for a while before it'd break open. I perso ally havent tried but I can only imagine. Its compact, light and if you need it to transport medicine legally or just to keep a few valuables in it, I recommend. It looks smaller than it is, it can actually hold quite a lot for its size.

Vaultz Locking Utility Box with Combination Lock, Black on Black (VZ00192)

For starters I read a ton of reviews so I was not expecting something I didn't order.

I was looking for a pencil box that wasn't made out recycled plastic Easter eggs - you know, that opaque, cheap looking kiddie pencil box. I wanted something a little different to hold extra cables, an extra battery, lens cloths, and small accessories for my cell phone (Galaxy Note 3 so all sorts of different cables/accessories). This fits the bill perfectly.

The two pouches inside are great. One holds a pair of earbuds and the other extra Micro SD cards. I found uses for the strap in the lid and bottom section as well.

It straddles my PC tower perfectly. I did go ahead and order some https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016GWHSBE/ after I received the unit as there is nothing to protect your furniture. The rubber feet I ordered were small, clear and perfect size.

I didn't even bother cutting the plastic tie that is over the combination lock - Be serious, this is NOT a safe. Anyone can simply pick it up and stick it in their bag or take a screwdriver and pop the locking mechanism. However, it definitely has a cool look to it and that was what I was looking for - form AND function.

I would have given it 5 stars if it were not for one of the rivets missing on the back side of the lid. I don't plan on going into it but a few times a week and it doesn't appear to affect the structural integrity - so all is well.

Nice little box that you can use to store medicine pill bottles and such.The box itself is better quality than I was expecting based on the stock photos. I got the black on black color and it looks great, even though it came with a few scuffs. The combination was easy to set up and i had no problems. The box is pretty small so don't expect to fit anything big inside, it's just big enough to fit a medium sized hand.

I bought both the acrylic and the lined. Both have their perks. With the acrylic, I can easily see what is in it. I use them to store markers and pencils for adult coloring books. The lined has a mesh pocket. My son showed me how useless the locks are. He opened it in less than a minute. Still, I like the boxes. They are all the same size and make organization a lot neater.

PS... the butterflies are pretty amazing!
