I built a rock climbing wall in my basement for my kids and got this as a pad for them. I'm sure it would work great for an adult climbing up 15 feet or something like that (although it's a bit small for such a distance) but for a little 50 pound body, it's VERY hard. If you are getting a pad for little ones, look for something softer than this.
Although it's not at all what I want, I suspect it still works great for the target audience, so I'm still giving an overall positive star rating.

Crash pad for at-home rock-climbing wall

We built a rock climbing wall in our basement for our 2.5 year old using 2 of these crash pads as "flooring". For this use, they're perfect! Only thing I was unhappy with is the color. On my computer, the "Blue" looked slightly turquoise; however, it's a true royal blue that reminds me of old school gym mats and garden tarps. Not the color I wanted, but it will have to do.
