Nice solid chain
Brian Ireland✓ Verified Purchase•April 15, 2016
Nice chain, same brand as the one that I had on previously. My previous chin of the same brand lasted for many years, Eventually it was difficult to shift and then I broke my rear deraileur hanger and had to break the chain. Had good luck with the first so I purchased the same brand. I have had it on since the end of last season and have had no issues.
Good quality chain

I like this chain, it offers good quality at a good price. It shifts cleanly for me. I had to remove a few links (used a nail set and hammer, too tough for my chain tool), but otherwise it was easy to install. I suspect it is slightly wider than my old chain, but since I already have 7.1mm missing link spares for my other bike, I would still get this chain for my 8 (24) speed.
Excellent chain for the price, silky smooth

Good modern chain. I just put it on an old cannondale mountain bike after overhauling a few parts to make it a loaner bike.
This thing shifts like silk!!! The original chain on this bike was the old bushing-style and this is the modern bushing-less type. Which takes oil better and has more side-to-side movement for cleaner, smoother shifting.
I agree with other reviewers that the factory oil is sticky, and I expect it to attract dirt quickly. But I'll run it anyway and see how she rolls.
Great price, super smooth. Shipping was fine, 5 days.

Great MTB chain.

Worked great until I jammed the derailleur into the spokes. I put on a new derailleur and couldn't get the gears adjusted right. Turns out a couple of the links got damaged during the derailleur incident. I removed a couple links and now it works great again. Make sure you have a chain link tool before you replace your chain. It is very difficult to remove a chain that doesn't have the quick links like this one does. Learn from my mistakes. This is the first chain I have bought in 6 years. After realizing how much better a new chain is than a rusty old one I will definitely replace it more often.
Great replacement for my old 7 speed bike chain

Needed to replace my very old, rusted and worn out 7 speed chain my Trek and the reviews I read suggested this was the closest match to the length and quality vs. price of what I needed. The length was spot on, didn't have to remove any chain links, just remove the old chain which was a chore but putting the new chain on the bike was so simple, making sure to be running it through the gears correctly and then applying the missing link was a 5 minute job.
