Granted I'm not using the remote at a great distance. 20 ft. But the housing is built solid. Remote is a little cheap keyfob. Haven't thought about replacements should I drop it... hmm... but been using it for months every night to turn on some decorative outside lights for my mom who is in a hospital bed.
