After owning a Case 1840 for several years, I first found this really neat attachment. With it, I was able to dig a footing for a 40' x 10' proch in about 30 minutes. Need to move or plant a shrub or small tree? One scoop and it is done. I was digging a basement, and the whole thing was hard clay. My toothed bucket would just bounce. I used this shovel which mounts to my forks (slid together) at a 45 degree angle to break hunks of clay up, they change to a bucket and scoop it out. This is the best attachment for a Bobcat type machine for the money I have ever seen!

This I really debated on before buying. Looked at reviews from many websites, some mixed. I rolled the dice and think I won. This was the lowest cost option when you looked at shipping. It fits well on the bucket of a Branson tractor. I've dug furrows, uprooted big rocks, uprooted invasive trees (Autumn Olives), dug holes for trees, and dug muck at the edge of a lake. Great results. It can take the full force of the bucket Hydraulic system. It's heavy, but you can get it on from the seat, then tighten down with a chain and binder. I am being careful with it so I don't drive the tractor forward much with a big angle on the spade. Much better than taking a 5' scoop with the bucket.

Well made. Heavy duty construction. Looking forward to using this product to remove roots from scrubs that were killed during this years freeze.

Great item wish I hade it two years ago. I used a 1500 lb nylon ratchet strap to hold it in place.

I am very happy with the purchase so far. I have only used it to dig out some trees that I wanted to replant. They were too big for a shovel, but with the spade attached to my pallet forks, the job was made easy!
